The Mermaid House is a historical landmark in Laguna Beach, CA built in 1929. While keeping with the historical requirements, we kept the same traditional architectural features of the exterior. However, the inside was was a full renovation. We created a light airy aesthetic with a modern interior. We chose to paint the walls a crisp white and used brightly colored furnishings for seamless contrast. The finishings range from a sleek Corian kitchen to a reclaimed hardwood floor.
